When it comes to packing, there are two types of approach:

1. Checklist in hand, you start pulling pieces 3 weeks in advance (a PowerPoint presentation may or may not also be included).

2. It's 11PM the evening before, the bed is piled with clothes, and decision-fatigue is at an all time high (a glass of wine may or may not also be included)

For those of you might fall into the second camp, we've organized a few easy guidelines to help ease packing woes!

Lean Into Neutrals

Good basics in core neutrals are the foundation of a 'Hamptons-ready' wardrobe. Whites, beiges, soft greys, and earth tones reflect the laid-back vibe of Out East, plus make mixing and matching effortless.

Like Megan, we love a strong monochrome moment or starting with a base of white pants (we're looking at you, Ashley), beige linen pants (a great tee (hi, Chloe), and a creamy knit sweater (Newburyport does the trick). These pieces pair with almost anything, and allow for multiple iterations of an outfit.

It Takes Two

Two-piece sets are your best friend—they look intentional without requiring much thought. Whether it's our matching Dune Solid Crewneck and Dune Crop Pant or the Kelli Gauze Button Down and Thassos Pant, you’ll be put together, especially for a last minute invitation or quick run into town. Wear pieces together or split them up with other Leallo essentials, like Heidi or the Daisy Ruffle Bottom Tee, for new looks.

Lessons In Layering

Hamptons weather can be unpredictable— warm days followed by cool evenings. A light sweater or cotton cardigan to drape over your shoulders is a must.

Style Tip: A white button-down, like our crisp cotton poplin Kelli Button-Down, is timeless as they come. Pair with the Ashley Barrel Pant, denim, or knot over a slip dress.

The 'Throw-On' Summer Dress

Speaking of dresses...dresses should be the MVP of your suitcase. They make for great day-to-night transitions, frozen yogurt runs or casual dinners, plus they take up minimal space and require little styling—just add sandals and go.

The Fun Stuff

Don't forget your favorite ballet flats, neutral sandals (flat and heeled), and your tried-and-true tennis shoes. A classic woven tote or structured canvas bag is functional, but still chic, and a great strawhat sunhat or basecall cap is a must! Throw on your favorite tortoise frames and light jewelry (we're partial to small gold hoops, and layered chain necklaces), and you're ready to go.
