Your Hamptons trip is planned to a tee, you’ve got your roomy weekender bag open and ready, but what to pack? Ugh. Before you overthink it, we’ve got a few simple guidelines to keep the process super easy, your bags lightweight, and your entire weekend comfy, breezy, and completely worry free, (when it comes to your wardrobe that is, we can’t guarantee the Seafood Shop won’t run out of lobster salad.) 🦞 🦞 🦞
KEEP IT SIMPLE, STAY MINDFUL

BARRY SWEATER IN OLIVE
The first step is to get into that Hamptons state of mind, imagine the salt breeze, the warm sun, icy coffees and just how you want your weekend to feel overall. Make sure you’re not bringing your fast paced weekday vibe on vacation by overpacking, or overthinking. We always recommend starting with all natural fabrics, they pack better and feel cooler. (Side note: Leallo only uses premium Pima cotton and cashmere.)
PICK A CORE COLOR

DUNE SET WITH JILDA TANK IN BLACK

THASSOS SET IN WHITE
Start with one neutral color as the core of your weekend wardrobe. We love a white or navy core for the summer, but we’ve also been known to go with black, sometimes that’s just the mood. Pick what feels best to you, and build around it.
SETS & DRESSES IN YOUR CORE COLOR

KELLY V-NECK DRESS IN WHITE

HEIDI TOP AND POPPY PANT IN WHITE
ROSA TEE AND DUNE CROP IN FAIRYBLUE

PAZ TANK DRESS IN BLACK
These are the hardworking multi-taskers. Pack at least one matching set and one cotton dress in your core color, they're all so easy to toss on in the morning, plus you can break the set up to combine with other pieces. We love versatile dresses we can wear to the beach, to town, to dinner then sleep in if we wanted to (hypothetically speaking of course.) 😉
PICK A COMPLIMENTING COLOR

THE BARRY SWEATER IN OLIVE

PERI COTTON OPEN NECK CREW SWEATER IN WHEAT
Time to pick a second color that matches your core. Grab a sweater/sweatshirt and another matching set in this second color for mixing and matching. With a navy, white or black core, we love pairing a soft beige tone like Dove, Crema or Sand, it feels elevated in a perfectly casual way. If you picked a beige tone, olive, pale blue or lemon sorbet for your core, pack extra pieces in White or Bone for a clean, crisp look.
TOTES, SHOES AND EXTRAS

THE DUNE CREWNECK AND DUNE CROP PANT IN BLACK
Packing an extra empty tote bag for shopping days is never a bad idea. (Forgot to bring one? Spend $250 in any Leallo store and get an oversized organic cotton tote for free.) With shoes, it’s so easy to pack like 17 pairs ‘just in case’ but these days we usually try to stick to two, one pair of beach sandals and one pair of town/dinner sandals, anything else is just extra. Also, of course consider your swimwear when you pick out your colors, and always choose at least one dress that doubles as a beach dress (cotton tee dresses for the win!)
KEEP IT ALL NEAT AND TIDY

NEWBURYPORT WAFFLE CREW SWEATER IN WHEAT
Once everything is picked out, we love to use packing cubes or the roll method to keep it all neat, organized and wrinkle-free, especially when using soft sided duffels. We know not everyone agrees with us on this one, but we always try to unpack into a dresser when we get there too, keep those wrinkles at bay and everything within arm’s reach for easy dressing and confident, happy times all weekend long.
None of this is specific to the Hamptons either, once you start packing with a core color you'll never go back, no matter the destination.
Bon Voyage!
xoxo
