these pants are SUPER soft and comfy and the pleats make them look slightly more formal than a regular legging. I would say they give some as you wear them. Order true to size but if you're inbetween sizes, maybe go down

I love these pants. I have them in both black and a light grey (not sheer) They are a comfortable, lightweight fabric and travel well. The fit is slightly loose so don’t overwhelm.
