We don’t know about you, but we keep asking ourselves, “where is summer going?” It’s flying by, and while we have some exciting stuff in store (literally) for fall, we’re enjoying the lazy beach day and linen pant combo just as much as everyone else.

If you haven’t made it Out East yet, we certainly hope you make a trip our way (and visit one of our 3 Hamptons boutiques), though if your end-of-summer plans are taking you elsewhere (the Amalfi, maybe?), then bon voyage! To that end, inspired by August's out-of-office culture, we’ve curated a 1-2-3 packing list for new (and seasoned) travelers with tried-and-true Leallo pieces.

Plane, Train, or Car

Our wardrobe GPS is telling us there’s only one route to take and it’s saying ‘loungewear.’ We’re here to debunk that casual pants can’t be chic because…ahem, the Dune Sweatpants. A long time Leallo bestseller, the Dune (and its sister styles) are cut from 100% Peruvian French Terry Cotton. This translates to uncompromised comfort even in the most compromising of spaces. Partial to a good matching moment, this is our not-so-subtle styling suggestion to pair back to the Dune Crewneck sweater, too.

For our wide-leg enthusiasts, our Poppy Wide Leg Pant fits the bill. Made from Peruvian Slub Cotton, these feel like ultra-cozy pajama bottoms and look anything but. With a white tee and sneakers, they’re the perfect travel companion.

Honorable mentions: Max Joggers, Sunset Pant, Emma Pant

Light-as-Air Layers

Beach weather is deceiving, we swear. It’s 87 degrees on Thursday and come Saturday, we’re singing Kumbuya around a bonfire and wishing we grabbed that chunky sweater we PROMISED to retire until next January. Cue Leallo’s buttery-soft knits that provide just-the-right amount of warmth (and look seasonally appropriate). Here are our no-brainer picks for layering:

The Dockside Stripe Crew

Wear it with: Chloe Distressed Tee, Dune Crop Pant (this might have Fink’s Melon Fest stamped on it, too)

The Halsey Cashmere Crew

Wear it with: Daisy Ruffle Bottom Tee, Kimberly Jogger

The Benny Cardigan

Wear it with: Does everything count? Currently, we love pairing it with the Georgica Beach Stripe Tunic Dress.

The Beach Lane Cashmere Hoodie

Wear it with: Chloe Slub Tee and Thassos Pant

One-and-Done Dressing

Sag Harbor or Santorini, the Maui and Janis dresses have entered the chat. Our take on the traditional shirtdress, the Maui is loose, long-sleeved (hello, UV protection), and lightweight, so you’ll keep cool and comfortable morning, noon, and night. We’ve added some length to make her extra beachy, and yes, she doubles as a cover-up, too because #multitasking.

We would be remiss if stripes weren’t apart of the fashion formula here, so say “hi” to our tie-waist Janis Striped Dress. With a V-neckline and airy kimono sleeves, this maxi is as breezy as they come. Available in two classic striped combinations – blue-and-white and light brown-and-cream, sail into the last stretch of summer with this look. You’ll likely spot us in the Janis at the Sag Harbor Fireman’s Carnival come August 6th. Held at Havens Beach from August 6th - August 10th, if you haven’t made plans to swing by, we encourage you to get it in the calendar! Fabulous food, plus an incredible fireworks display to close the weekend on Saturday, August 9th.

Other suitcase-friendly and dining al fresco-approved standouts include the Meadow Lane Shirtdress and Daniel’s Lane Wrap dresses (also available in blush stripe) both from our new summer collection, and perfect for dinner in town or Bridgehampton’s upcoming Hampton Classic, beginning August 25th - September 1st. Of course, there’s also the customer-favorite Milos Flutter Sleeve Midi Dress in a sweet ditsy floral and classic black and white, because everyone loves an elasticized waist…especially following lunch at Bostwicks!

Let us know where you’re traveling and more importantly, wearing this month!
