Is there a more beloved season than fall? And if we're really being honest, fall = October. October comes from the Latin-octo for "eight", a symbol of peace, prosperity, and good fortune.

Sign us up!

We have a lot to look forward to this autumn, including a host of family-friendly local Hamptons happenings (we're looking at you Hank's Pumpkintown), and cute new clothes to match (hi, fall arrivals).

Plus, hear from our founder, Megan Chiarello, to learn what's on her short-list for the month!

Keeping Up With Tradition

It's impossible to say "no" to the list of quintessential fall activities - apple picking, pumpkin patches, wine tastings (and yes, sampling the seasonal flavors at Grindstone Donuts also counts)  - that surface this time of year, especially if kids are in the mix. We have rounded up our Top 4 must-dos, and the Leallo styles, obviously, we're matching back to.

1. Hank's Pumpkintown, Watermill

Family-owned and operated, Hank's Pumpkintown & Farmstand is a Hamptons institution. Featuring pumpkin and apple picking (the orchard is beautiful), corn mazes, wagon rides, and a market stocked with freshly baked sweets and snacks, a visit to Hank's is a call-of-duty for locals and city dwellers alike.

What are we we wearing? Like Megan, we're donning the Lily Cashmere Cardi. "I love anything waffle and this sweater feels like a twist on a classic cardigan. I will wear this for so many occasions since it’s a bit on the smaller side and will look good paired with a skirt or denim."

HINT: Cashmere beanie coming soon!

Down the road is The Milk Pail, another farm stand and fresh market, best known for their wide selection of apple varieties. Megan's pro-tip: "get the cider donuts and try out the corn shooter!"

2. Sag Harbor Ragamuffin Parade, Sag Harbor

On Sunday, October 27th, join the family spectacle that is always a spooky-good time. Babies, kids and adults, dressed in their Halloween best, look forward to the march down Main Street every year. Live music and games accompany.

Honorable mentions: Little Lucy's Halloween Pet Parade in Southampton. Animals in costume? No additional info neccessary.

Megan's Pro-Tip: "I actually really love Halloween but mostly because my 10 year-old son loves it!  We hit the town to trick-or-treat and then make our way to Coopers Street in East Hampton in the evening. They close down the road and all of the houses do an amazing job decorating. "

3. Wolffer Estate Vineyard, Sagaponack

We would be remiss if we didn't include Wolffer Estate. In July, you can catch us at The Wine Stand, sipping their classic 'Summer in a Bottle" rose, but fall is equally enjoyable, because cider and Leallo cashmere is quite the combo. Wolffer offers a variety of fall 'happenings', too, like Sunset Music at The Wine Stand and their annual Harvest Party (think hayrides, barrelrolling, and grape-stomping).

Honorable mentions: Channing Daughter Winery, Duck Walk Vinyeyards

Take a cue from Megan's book and throw on our new Jesse Ribbed Cashmere Cardigan. "I love it because the tight ribbing gives it texture and it feels like it will keep its shape. I find that some oversized cardigans stretch out and loose their shape.  This feels more put together, a tight knit."

4. Sag-toberfest, Sag Harbor

In honor of the upcoming long weekend, Kidd Squidd Brewing Co. is celebrating Oktoberfest with live music and classic brews. There will also be a side walk sale in Sag Harbor (keep an eye out in your inbox for a little treat from us. If you aren't subscribed to our emails, you know what to do). For sipping and shopping, you'll find us in our bestselling Beach Lane Cashmere Hoodie, now available in 3 new colors.
