Things are warming up in our neck of the woods, and we are thrilled for all that spring brings, including the opportunity to be outdoors. Admittedly, exercise, love it or hate it, is far more enjoyable when it's nice out!

As part of our wellness series, where we explore our commitment to the seven pillars of wellness, we figured what better time to talk about physical wellness, than with a little pep in our step? Because when you feel good, everything  seems to fall into place.

The Out East Approach

When most people think of the  Hamptons, they conjure images of sandy beaches, fresh hydrangeas, and dining al fresco. But beyond the views and chic social gatherings, the Out East lifestyle embodies a deeper sense of balance — one that includes taking care of your body and mind. Physical wellness isn’t just about exercise; it’s about aligning your body with a lifestyle that nurtures strength, flexibility, and peace.

Here are the steps we've identified as essential to preserving our physical selves:

1. Move with Intention

Wellness starts with movement. Whether it’s a morning beach run on Shadmoor, a restorative yoga session, or a sunset walk in your own neighborhood, staying active is key. We like to start our day with a 10-minute stretch or mediation session -- wearing our Dune set, of course.

2. Nourish Your Body

Fuel your body! A balanced diet rich in fresh, local ingredients can work wonders for your energy levels and overall health. Visit Amber Waves in Amagansett to stock up on seasonal produce, and embrace simple, healthy meals (we love avocado toast with heirloom tomatoes for breakfast or a fabulous salad with grilled fish for lunch).  We're also fans of Provisions' smoothie bar for a smoothie or juice post-workout!

3. Rest and Recover

True wellness comes from listening to your body and knowing when to rest and recharge. Slip into our Lulu silky satin set or Poppy Wide Leg Pants after a long day and hot shower -- your muscles and mind need time to recover, and nothing supports that better than our loungewear collection!

4. Mind-Body Connection

Physical wellness is deeply connected to mental clarity. Taking time to breathe deeply, meditate, or simply sit in stillness can improve your focus and reduce stress. Try a guided meditation on the beach or a few minutes of mindful breathing before bed. Feeling good in what you wear also strengthens that mind-body connection — the perfect blend of luxe and comfortable. Our long sleeve tees double as great light workout companions :)

Where to Work Out in the Hamptons

Looking for inspiration to switch up your routine? Here are a few of our favorite local spots to break a sweat:

Morning Beach Runs: Start your day with a jog or long walk along Bridgehampton's Long Pond's Greenbelt Nature Center (we enjoy their Hamlet-to-Hamlet footpath).

Let's Talk Tennis: You can find us on the courts thanks to Ross School Tennis Center, FS Tennis Club, and E-HIT (they also have pickleball courts)!

Scenic Bike Rides: Explore scenic backroads and charming neighborhoods on two wheels. We love a bike ride on Shelter Island's Main Street!

Till next month xx
